Content comes from real people, not big news organizations. Can make money at the same time too, reporting whats going on with your camera.
Great app if you take good pics or steady video. You help get the news out in your area & if your lucky a news source will purchase your pics or video. I have noticed they seem to lean to the left because most of the news they report on their main site is pro Democrat & negative towards Trump & Republicans.As a news source it should be unbiased in my opinion.
Interface of app is very good. It load data very fast. I like it very much.
This app is a great way to make some extra cash. To really make good cash you need to sign up to be a pro user, they give you $20 just for going out along with the money you get if the content is bought.
Some bad moments
So far both assignments had vague addresses and could not be verified. The first one said a fire at the airport terminal 4 so I drove there and paid for parking, asked around to airport employees who said hadnt heard anything. I drove the perimeter looking for any sign of emergency vehicles and found nothing. Then today they reported a house fire with an approximate address. I drove 3 blocks in all directions looking for any sign of damage, and again found nothing.
Bummed.
Even tho there is not much going around my location, I take photos of city festivals including videos: none get chosen. There was a recent fire by my location; I took very good videos and photos and none were chosen. The fresco app is slow, it lags, and messes with citizens thinking this is an easy way to receive some extra cash. The news only chooses one video and its a crappy one. This app puts people in danger and increases the support of filming danger instead of helping. Dont waste your time with this app.
This app is great to receive the latest news. My favorite part of this app is that you are able to set it up in a way to get news from your area. This feature is useful to me as news regarding the area I live in is sometimes difficult to access.
This app is really nice. Its design is simple and easy to navigate. Each news is summarised in a short paragraph which is easy to understand and quick to skim through. It also provides the direct location of the incident which is very helpful for app users. However, there are some problems though. First, there is no a quick tutorial (preferably video) to help guide the users know how to effectively use this app. Second, based on the description of the app, it is the app that pays those who wants to report news or submit videos to get paid. However, as an app user, I still feel not sure or feel lost of how to get report the news or get my videos submitted to get paid. Currently, there are only two features in the app. First is Highlights and second is Stories. There is nothing else within the app. However, if app user force-touch on the app icon, it will provide three more features: Assignments, Take video and Take photo. This means that only iPhone 6s or 6s plus users are able to use these three features. Also, the assignments feature is not working at the moment. My advice to the app developer is that the three mentioning features should be added directly within the app so that the app users who are interested in reporting news are able to easily submit their news or videos to get paid.
